Join me in broadening bicycle access for local youth

I love bikes. But you don't have to love bikes to love the Community Cycling Center. From its humble beginnings as a bike shop on Alberta (which is still there and better than ever), the Community Cycling Center has expanded its mission to deliver programs like the fantastic Holiday Bike Drive (which every year gives over 400 kids their first bike), deeply embedded partnerships with communities and organizations like New Columbia and Hacienda, and the new STEM program (which teaches bike mechanics to kids at several alternative high schools).

To help support this amazing work, I agreed to start this fundraiser. My goal is to sign up at least 20 monthly donors before year end. Monthly donors provide an important foundation that allows the organization to plan and develop new programs and expand existing initiatives knowing that we have its back. As little as $10 a month can go a long way towards getting more kids on bikes, breaking down barriers between diverse parts of our community, and expanding access to educational opportunities. $25 covers have the cost for a student to participate in a semester of the STEM program.
